A Moment In Time ACTION!

Now, I'm a sucker for the traditional action shot...the ones where the movement actually jumps off the shot and you truly feel the thrill of the jump! Recently, however, I've found myself really enjoying the shot that looks as if time is standing still, where the jumper is simply and calmly suspended in air.

Today, we pay homage to those lovely shots I like to call the anti-action shots :)

Turn the page ACTION!
This shot by Amanda, taken in California State University's Long Beach library (CSULB), is one of my all time faves. It combines my love of the action shot with my passion for books - doesn't get much better than that!

Calm, cool, collected ACTION!
What I love most about this great shot by Jami is the surreal silence of the capture - it's truly a snapshot of time taken of an adorable kid in Detroit.

Fountain of love ACTION!
Last, but certainly not least, we come to Jessica's shot from Los Angeles. Taken of her hubby at Mulholland Fountain near Griffith Park, they return each year on their anniversary to jump in celebration of love, life, and commitment - how cool is that?!?

Your turn! Take a moment to freeze time in your neighborhood - let's see those "anti-action" shots of your own :)
